On her way to the Handy Awards E G Kight went to the Crossroads in Clarksdale, MS.
We caught her making a deal with the devil who seems to have an eerie resemblance to the Blewzzman

Barbara Blue and her band hosting the jam held at the Marriott Hotel.
The jam followed the Blues Foundations Charter Membership Meeting and Dinner held on Wed.
The band consists of (L to R) Lanny McMillan, sax; Ben Cauley, trumpet;
Barbara on vocals; Gary Osborn, guitar; Nat Kerr, keys; Michael Brown, drums; E J Cole, bass.

Joining the horn section is Watermelon Slim, nominee for "Best New Artist Debut", on the harmonica

Alex Schultz on guitar and multi Handy nominee E G Kight on vocals partaking in the jam.

"Acoustic Blues Album of the Year" nominee and winner, Kenny Neal getting in his licks at the jam

Willie "Popsie" Dixon of the Holmes brothers stopped by the jam to sing a few tunes.

Not being one to ever miss a good party, Mitch Woods rocks those 88's.

Another Piano great and Handy nominee Dave Maxwell joined in as well.

Even "Blues Album of the Year" nominee Guitar Shorty joined the party

That's the "Back Hoe's" Nancy Apple (R) and Deborah Swiney (C)
joining Barbara Blue on some background vocals

The "Jam Master" himself Bob Margolin, Handy nominee and winner, joining the jam

Here are bar patrons and Handy nominees Willie "Big Eyes" Smith and Bobby Rush
enjoying a ring side seat of the jam from the Marriott's bar.
